Indiana native Craig Baker is the Executive Chef of Serliana and Astrea Rooftop Bar.

A culinary icon in Central Indiana, Chef Craig has brought The AMP at 16 Tech to life in recent years, served on-the-go cuisine out of his Ghost Mobile Kitchen and previously cooked in the kitchens of The Local Eatery and Pub, Bent Rail Brewery, Napolese, and Plow and Anchor. Prior to his time in Indianapolis, Craig worked at various restaurants in Pennsylvania and along East Coast. He then moved to Portland, Oregon and into the kitchen of Assaggio, an award winning authentic Italian restaurant, where he served as chef de cuisine.

Deeply passionate about Indiana cuisine, he is excited to introduce the world to the flavors that make the state unique with exceptional tastes and fresh traditions. Chef Craig has been recognized for his work in industry publications and culinary competitions, including competing in and winning the Best Chef category in the World Food Championships. One of Baker’s restaurants, The Local has also been recognized by the national culinary press for its mission to support local economies, farms, artisans and philanthropy. In November 2024, Baker led Team Indiana in the 12th Annual World Food Championships being held in Indianapolis, where they were named "2024 Finalist for Best Sandwich in the World."

Where is Astrea Rooftop located?

Astrea Rooftop is located on the 11th floor of InterContinental Indianapolis at 17 W. Market Street in downtown Indianapolis. To reach the rooftop, enter through the hotel's main entrance and take the first-floor elevators to the 11th floor.

What is the dress code?

We encourage guests to dress in business casual or elevated chic attire. While there is no strict dress code, many guests enjoy dressing up for the rooftop experience.

Is Astrea 21+?

Guests of all ages are welcome until 7 PM daily. After 7 PM, Astrea is open exclusively to guests ages 21 and older. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Is Astrea ADA accessible?

Yes! Astrea is fully ADA accessible, including all guest areas and restrooms.

Where should I park?

Valet parking is available for all Astrea guests at the front drive of InterContinental Indianapolis for $25. Several public parking garages and metered street parking options are also located nearby.

Is there a happy hour?

Yes! Enjoy $10 Grey Goose Martinis every Monday and $10 Patron Margaritas every Tuesday.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are not required, but we highly recommend making one, especially for weekends and sunset hours. You can reserve your table up to 90 days in advance through OpenTable.

What is the maximum number of guests allowed per reservation?

All OpenTable reservations can include up to 6 guests. For parties over 7, please reach out to info@astrearooftop.com with your preferred date and guest count.

Is there a cancellation policy for cancelling a reservation?

We require a credit card to be on file for large bookings over 8 guests. Cancelling your large party reservation under 24 hours will result in a $25 per person charge to the credit card on file.

When is there a DJ?

DJs perform every Friday and Saturday evening beginning at 7 PM. During brunch, enjoy live DJ sets every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. For the latest lineup and special events, visit our “Events” page on our website.
